Bear Valley Mountain Resort is great slopes, great people and great fun nestled in the Western Sierra Nevada slopes between bustling Tahoe and majestic Yosemite National Park. Visit the Bear Valley website to see our area terrain, snow levels, ski / boarding services and events. A tour through our website will show you the diversity of the area, people and services, from the newly added Mountain Adventure Back Country Tours to the “Skiing Bears” child ski school. The Bear Valley National Ski Patrol is a team of 30 proficient individuals who dedicate themselves to support these three aspects of the ski resort: slopes, people and fun. We work together with the BV Professional Patrol and the First Aid Center to provide a safe and supervised environment to enjoy mountain sports via:
- Emergency first aid
- Search and rescue work
- Trail directions and Lift information
- Ski Trail and Terrain Park maintenance
- Mountain opening and closing “Sweep” procedures
- Avalanche patrol
Come ski or board our area to see if it suits you. If you like the area, stop by at “Bear Top” and talk to a patroller. The BVNSP invites you to ski or board with us on the first Sunday of the month, December thru March, to check it out.
