 Boreal Ski Patrol serves Boreal, located on Highway 80 at the peak of Donner Summit. Our hill offers spectacular vistas of Castle Peak and surrounding areas, coupled with a modest amount of vertical.
The patrol consists of volunteers on alpine skis, snowboards, and three-pin equipment. Because Boreal is a small, family area, the patrol offers excellent benefits for volunteers willing to commit to 13 assigned days per season. Because of the high volume of beginners that arrive at Boreal each season, our patrol gets more first aid practice, and less free skiing, than any other area at Donner Summit.
Consequently, if you enjoy a fast-paced medical environment, can commit to 13 pre-assigned days per year, and want your family to be able to ski while you patrol, Boreal is the place for you!
